The HP TX2000 Touch Screen Laptop

Friday, May 3rd, 2013

Who said laptops cannot be a good source of entertainment, in fact even when they are touch screen models. The same can surely be said about the HP TX2000. Judging from the physical appearance of this model, almost anyone would practically say that it resembles the previous one, but this touch screen technology model is actually equipped with more than what looks showcase.

For starters, the model has a digitizer display which has never been seen present in any touch screen laptop until now. But that’s not all; there are quite a lot of system updates that have been made in this model that distinguish it from the previous model. For instance, there is a change in the body color and direction arrows have also been added at the screen’s hinge.

As I said earlier that even touch screen laptops can serve entertainment purposes and this one is indeed such a model. The speakers are therefore present over the hinge, much like the previous model, since that makes it more ideal while you view any media on the screen. Another advantage of having the speakers on the hinge is that they would rotate along with the screen so that the sound would travel towards you in the right direction. Check out touchscreenlaptopsite.co.uk for more information

Most of the latest touch screen laptop models all have wireless network capability and the same is the case with this model too since it is WIFI and Bluetooth equipped. The 12.1 inch width of the screen with a resolution of 1280×800, would in fact make it more enjoyable when you watch videos and movies through the laptop. The 4.26 pound weight is also quite an optimal trait and so the laptop does not seem to be too heavy to carry around.

HP laptop designs have always known to be quite impressive with a specific notable trait of having the fan underneath the body which muffles most of its operating noise. As for this specific mode, the battery support would be another amazing feature that would surprise the users along with what is equipped within the machine. Thus for the price you would get this touch screen laptop from HP, I say it would be quite a fair bargain.

While being slightly thick and a bit wide, this TouchSmart touch screen laptop would still be able to maintain optimal portability. Most of these touch screen laptops seem to be equipped with a keyboard. They can even be utilized as a tablet since the screen swivels around. A stylus pen can be used to operate the laptop. In tablet mode or you can even make use of your fingertips.

The basic specifications of the model include a 2.2GHz AMD Turion X2 dual-core processor, a 2 GB RAM, 320GB storage space in the hard disk and a multi disk DVD player an burner that can even be operated using he remote control.

Providing the HP touch screen laptop with the necessary power is the 6 cell battery. The TouchSmart has a 4.6 pounds weight which is not too heavy and would be light enough to be carried without feeling a burden.

This touch screen laptop model has a 12.1 inches display which is quite large enough for a touch screen laptop. You would find it much easier to use the touch screen with your fingers rather than the stylus pen as it would be responsive in that way. A basic drawback that has often been noticed is that when the stylus pen is placed within its slot it starts to heat up along with the laptop. So, it would be more advisable to keep it separately.

If you really want to know what makes the TouchSmart really a powerful device, it is the audio of the touch screen laptop. The audio is powered by a Realtek sound chip where the built in speakers themselves have quite a rich sound quality. Additionally, the laptop also has a SPDIF audio connection for the attachment of external speakers. Dual headphone jacks are also present on it.

Due to the presence of the TouchSmart software that HP integrated into this touch screen laptop, users get to place large sized tiles of their favorite programs right onto the desktop for easy accessibility.

If you are considering the technology of the TouchSmart by HP, its performance is not only quite advanced but is efficient and really, very speedy as well.

For laptop enthusiast who are looking forward to simply ignore the keyboard they could in fact even be using the touch screen laptop in tablet mode. This would not really be much different but surely convenient with efficient response to the fingertip movements. Finally, as far as the price is concerned, considering the features HP is offering through the TouchSmart, it is worth it. Appropriately Choosing a Touch Screen Laptop

Friday, May 3rd, 2013

There is no doubt that the touch screen technology within laptops is somewhat pretty recent and there is a lot people are still unsure about regarding these laptops. Hence it is pretty often that I hear people being unsure about how they should actually choose a good model among the various branded touch screen laptops of today. So here are some traits that you should actually be on the lookout for when buying touch screen laptops and hopefully you’ll get an ideal one.

The first thing that people need to keep in mind when buying touch screen laptops is the fact that they are quite different from regular laptops and their screens also happen to be quite sensitive. So the sensitivity of the screen is the first thing you should be checking when buying such a laptop. When checking the screens of a touch screen laptop it is wise to get one with a wide screen but also such that the screen responds well enough to touch input.

Another thing that you need to know when looking for touch screen laptops is that they actually exist as two types. This difference also exists within the touch screen and it comes in the digitizing of the screen where one type has a passive digitizing while the other has an active digitizing. If the laptop actually has a passive digitizing screen there you could use both your fingers or a stylus pen to operate it but with an active digitizing screen you would essentially be in need of an electronic digital stylus pen. These kids of stylus pen are actually equipped with their own small battery so you would not be required to plug them into an additional power source. Selecting the screen’s digitizing merely depends upon the choice of the user and what they prefer.

Apart from these specifics, you can always keep a check on what hardware and software specs all the different models have to offer and then make up your mind. If you are really still unsure what model to get, which most people usually are, it is best if you try them out before making up your mind and get the finest touch screen laptop.

An ideal touch screen laptop for business use

Friday, May 3rd, 2013

I’ve definitely noticed businessmen who are frantically in search of a touch screen laptop model that would be particularly ideal for business use. If had to name a model then I’d say that the Fujitsu LifeBook T4410 is quite appropriate for them.

What firstly comes into my notice about this particular model from Fujitsu is the simplicity of the design. The laptop also maintains a specific appeal too. The usability of the laptop makes it particularly ideal for executive individuals who could use it at the office or even at home.

The dimensions of this touch screen laptop are 1.4 by 11.7 by 9.1 inches which means that the laptop would be quite compact. From the looks of it, it is pretty slim and narrow too. The combination of black and silver tones makes this touch screen laptop appear quite stunning. With a weight of 3.9 pounds it would be easy to carry it around as well.

For business purposes, I’ve noticed that many people prefer using such touch screen laptops in tablet mode. So with the lid hinge the laptop’s screen could be swiveled and folded flat on the other side to use it as a tablet. Another distinct, minute feature included with the model is a latch lock that would lock the monitor in place when in the tablet mode.

Now moving onto what is inside the laptop to offer the business oriented individuals. Instant accessibility is made possible right at the front screen with the presence of eight large icons which can be tapped to access them. The Fujitsu’s Touch has the capability to function both in landscape mode and portrait mode as well. One point you guys should actually keep in mind that one fifth of the screen would be consumed when using the laptop in portrait mode. There is one more feature which makes Fujitsu’s touch quite distinct. The screen brightness can be adjusted depending upon the environment due to the presence of an ambient light sensor.

The hardware specifications of this Fujitsu touch screen model includes the T8700 2.5GHz Core 2 Duo processor with 3MB of cache through which it is powered, 2 GB of RAM, a 160 GB hard drive, a multi DVD drive, etc. These are in fact the specs of the much high end version of the model. The one with lower specs also has a lower price range.

I believe that the LifeBook is quite capable of providing ideal performance for businessmen. So it would be appropriate for business purposes. A hundred feet radius has been found to be ideal for the WiFi to function. The battery time of the laptop is around 3-hour 11-minute. The only factors that have been noted as a drawback would be the immensely large size of the adapter. The presence of a filter also increases the requirement of constant maintenance.

So after reading this, people looking for a touch screen laptop for business purposes wouldn’t really have to keep asking about which model and brand they should choose.

Whether you use them for entertainment or while in the kitchen, they should prove competent enough.

In the kitchen, the touch screen is designed for use with recipes and other applications that can run in full contact when using the keyboard is not so essential. Verbal instructions are also provided.

As far as entertainment is concerned, the specifications of these touch screen laptops should be competent enough. Truly innovative touch screen laptops as never seen before

Friday, May 3rd, 2013

Not so long ago, I was able to find designs of the V12 Canova from the Italian company. This model happened to be equipped with a double display and was a touch screen laptop. It was mentioned Valerio Cometti, founder and CEO of the design agency that he had worked on a version of the second generation of dual-screen laptop with an American producer.

According Cometti, theV12 engine has been modified from its original structure, to improve the versatility and potential of our original concept. The design has been enhanced to increase the movement of the dual-display. Both displays measure 15.4 inches.

But it is not a V12 engine that brings Canova on the market, which would be based on work in Estar Pennsylvania. Estar CEO Peter Thomas was interested in developing a dual screen laptop from some time and intellectual property rights would be owned by the second generation designer, Canova.

Thomas did not promise an exact date, but said that the model’s availability could be expected soon enough. He mentioned that the brand had been involved of such an innovative dual touch screen laptop from quite some time.

Canova V12 was originally designed for use among creative professions. However, Thomas is stated that the dual touch screen laptop could be used in a variety of fields. It could be seen used in any application. Even in portrait mode with both sides of the screen on the right side down to have a face on the Internet and email on the other.

Personally, even though, this brand might not have established itself well enough currently. The laptop design that they are offering seems quite stunning. As far as the technology involved and its specifications. People should be expecting nothing but the best to be coming from them. The internal technology is in fact under development. Thomas even revealed they would also unveil more about its software and hardware specifications soon enough as well.

So keep your eyes and ears open. This is certainly going to be quite a major release in the category of touch screen laptops we have today.

Toshiba’s lineup of touch screen laptops

Friday, May 3rd, 2013

Many might be considering touch screen laptops as a recent technological advancement. Well if that’s the case then Toshiba should considered as a rapidly advancing brand. You ask why? Well as soon as the Windows 7 was officially launched and in use, Toshiba soon enough had a whole lineup of touch screen models ready to be revealed. Had they already been working on these models from quite some time or were they a recent advancement? I really cannot say, but I certainly have a list of those touch screen models that Toshiba unveiled.

The most notable model out of the lineup for me was the 13.3-in. Satellite U505. Not only does its 5 lbs. weight make it quite light, but its $1,049 price makes it quite a bargain. Another such worth mentioning model is the Satellite M505. This touch screen laptop from Toshiba is quite compact with a 14.4-in screen. This model is priced at $949 which also seems rather reasonable as well. The LifeSpace software package actually comes loaded in both of these models along with the Bulletin Board. Both of the models even have the visual search tool, ReelTime.

Yes indeed, I certainly said that Toshiba had a lineup of models and that means there are much more models that I am mentioning. Along with the above two, here is a list of other models that came along with them.

Satellite A500:

This model has a single 16-inch HD Edge-to-Edge display which makes its screen wider than the above two models. Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Turion II Ultra processor, discrete graphics options, optional Blu-ray is also included within it. So, you would be surprised that its cost begins from $589.99.

Satellite L500:

Yet another Toshiba touch screen laptop with not one but two wide screens measuring with 14″ to 17.3″ displays. The AMD Turion II and Athlon II processor, up to 500GB HDD makes it quite a fast laptop as well. Apart from being efficient, its price starts from $504.99 going up to $579.99. So you would find this model affordable as well.

Finally a thing that was common among all of these models was the sleep-and-resume functionality.
